Arduino Workshop on Telepresence
workshop

Telepresence is described as the sensation of being elsewhere, created by a set of technologies. It gives a person the appearance of being present, at a place other than their true location. In teams, you will create prototypes which question, confuse, adapt, and/or extend the notion of presence,  shared experiences and telepresence. You will create connected objects with two interfaces, which allow communication between two persons, in separate spaces.

These networked prototypes are fundamentally augmenting the way we interact and communicate: devices,  simultaneously acting, and physically augmenting, becoming tangible in a space afar. These prototypes can be critical agents of protest, celebrations (or warnings) of what-could-be-to-come, or simply provide a new way of experiencing the familiar. With the tools introduced through a hands-on electronics workshop, and support of us the prototypes will be developed to a finished and working state by the end of the workshop.
